Palestinian-American Teenager Liberated Following Nine-Month Period in Israel's Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American adolescent having endured nine months in Israel's custody without being charged gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida accused of stone-throwing against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.

Now sixteen years old, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems contracted in captivity.

In a statement, family spokesperson conveyed their "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Currently, our priority is getting Mohammed urgent medical care he needs after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions for months."

American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," officials stated.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to US authorities and the White House, requesting additional efforts to release him.

Mohammed's parent, a father-of-four operating an ice cream shop in Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt about rock throwing because the soldiers beat him.

There were no visits nor direct contact since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

Mohammed was held without charge at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.

It is also home to grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and murder.

Approximately several hundred young Palestinian detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, per correctional service statistics.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, and international organizations, report instances of physical abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, Mr Kadur said they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member Sayfollah Musallet.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen who the Palestinian health ministry said was beaten to death by settlement residents during a confrontation last July.

Initially, military authorities reported officials were investigating accounts of a Palestinian had died.

The two cousins had worked together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.

No one has been charged regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We expect US authorities to ensure our family's safety," family representatives emphasized.
